Terms of Service
Last updated: February 19, 2026
Important Notice
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using ChainBridge Trading. By accessing or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions, you must not access or use the platform. Cryptocurrency and DeFi involve significant risks, including the potential loss of all invested funds.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using ChainBridge Trading ("the Platform," "we," "us," or "our"), including any associated websites, APIs, applications, or services, you ("User," "you," or "your") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ChainBridge Trading.
We reserve the right to modify, update, or replace any part of these Terms at our sole discretion. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Platform after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically.
You represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are using the Platform on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Non-Custodial Disclaimer
ChainBridge Trading is a non-custodial platform. This means that at no point does ChainBridge hold, control, manage, or have access to your cryptocurrency assets, private keys, seed phrases, or wallet credentials. All transactions are executed directly from your personal wallet through decentralized smart contracts and third-party protocols.
The Platform serves as an interface and aggregator that connects users with decentralized exchanges (DEXs), bridge protocols, lending platforms, staking services, and fiat on-ramp providers. When you execute a transaction through ChainBridge, you are interacting directly with the underlying protocols (0x, 1inch, ParaSwap, KyberSwap, UniswapX, Balancer, Thorchain, LI.FI, Socket, Lido, RocketPool, Aave, Compound, Coinbase, Transak, and others).
You are solely responsible for:
- Safeguarding your wallet private keys, seed phrases, and passwords
- Verifying all transaction details before confirming in your wallet
- Maintaining adequate security measures for your devices and accounts
- Understanding the protocols and smart contracts you interact with
- Paying all gas fees and transaction costs associated with blockchain operations
If you lose access to your wallet or private keys, ChainBridge cannot recover your funds or reverse any transactions. We strongly recommend backing up your wallet recovery phrase and storing it securely offline.
3. Risk Warnings
Cryptocurrency trading and DeFi involve substantial risks. You should carefully consider whether trading, bridging, staking, or providing liquidity is appropriate for you in light of your financial circumstances. You could lose some or all of your invested capital.
By using the Platform, you acknowledge and accept the following risks:
- Market Volatility: Cryptocurrency prices can fluctuate dramatically in short periods. Token values may decrease significantly, and there is no guarantee of future price appreciation. Historical performance is not indicative of future results.
- Smart Contract Risk: DeFi protocols operate through smart contracts that may contain bugs, vulnerabilities, or exploitable flaws. Despite audits and testing, smart contracts can never be guaranteed to be completely secure. Contract exploits can result in total loss of deposited funds.
- Bridge Risk: Cross-chain bridges involve additional layers of smart contracts and consensus mechanisms. Bridge hacks have historically resulted in losses of hundreds of millions of dollars. Bridged assets may not always be redeemable for their native counterparts.
- Impermanent Loss: Providing liquidity to automated market maker pools exposes you to impermanent loss, where the value of your deposited assets diverges from simply holding them. In volatile markets, impermanent loss can significantly reduce your returns.
- Liquidation Risk: Borrowing against collateral in lending protocols carries liquidation risk. If the value of your collateral falls below required thresholds, your position may be automatically liquidated at unfavorable prices, resulting in loss of your collateral.
- Slippage and MEV: Trades may experience slippage (difference between expected and executed price) due to market movements between quote and execution. Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) bots may front-run, back-run, or sandwich your transactions, resulting in worse execution.
- Regulatory Risk: Cryptocurrency regulations vary by jurisdiction and are evolving rapidly. Future regulatory actions could affect the availability, legality, or functionality of the Platform or underlying protocols in your region.
- Network Risk: Blockchain networks may experience congestion, outages, forks, or consensus failures that could delay or prevent your transactions. Gas fees can spike unpredictably during periods of high demand.
- Third-Party Risk: ChainBridge aggregates services from third-party protocols and providers. We do not control these services and cannot guarantee their availability, security, or accuracy. Changes to third-party APIs or protocols may affect Platform functionality.
- Stablecoin De-pegging: Stablecoins such as USDC, USDT, and others may temporarily or permanently lose their intended peg to fiat currency due to reserve issues, regulatory actions, market panic, or technical failures.
4. No Financial Advice
Nothing on the Platform constitutes financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. All information provided, including token prices, APR/APY estimates, market data, educational content, and token descriptions, is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, stake, or otherwise transact in any cryptocurrency or financial instrument.
Price quotes, yield estimates, and market data displayed on the Platform are sourced from third-party providers and may be delayed, inaccurate, or incomplete. APR and APY figures are historical or estimated and do not guarantee future returns. Token listings on the Platform do not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of any particular asset.
You should consult with a qualified financial advisor, accountant, or legal professional before making any investment decisions. Always conduct your own research (DYOR) and never invest more than you can afford to lose.
5. Smart Contract Risk Acknowledgment
By using the Platform, you acknowledge that you are interacting with decentralized smart contracts deployed on public blockchains. These smart contracts are governed by immutable code and operate autonomously once deployed. ChainBridge Trading does not own, control, or have the ability to modify or reverse transactions executed through third-party smart contracts.
When you approve token spending, execute swaps, provide liquidity, stake assets, or bridge tokens through the Platform, you are granting permissions to and interacting with smart contracts created and maintained by third-party protocols. These interactions may include:
- Token approvals that grant smart contracts permission to transfer your tokens
- Depositing tokens into liquidity pools, staking contracts, or lending markets
- Cross-chain message passing through bridge contracts and relayers
- Interactions with proxy contracts that can be upgraded by their governance
You are responsible for understanding the smart contracts you interact with, including their permissions, risks, and governance structures. We recommend reviewing token approvals regularly and revoking unused permissions. ChainBridge cannot recover funds lost due to smart contract exploits, bugs, or governance decisions made by third-party protocols.
6. Prohibited Activities
You agree not to use the Platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Platform. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
- Using the Platform to launder money, finance terrorism, or engage in any illegal financial activity
- Attempting to exploit, hack, or interfere with the Platform's infrastructure, APIs, or connected protocols
- Using automated bots, scripts, or tools to abuse the Platform's rate limits or services beyond reasonable use
- Circumventing or attempting to circumvent any access restrictions, security measures, or geographic limitations
- Impersonating other users, platforms, or entities
- Accessing the Platform from sanctioned jurisdictions or regions where cryptocurrency trading is prohibited
- Market manipulation, wash trading, or any form of deceptive trading activity
7. Privacy Considerations
ChainBridge Trading is designed to minimize data collection. As a non-custodial platform, we do not collect, store, or process personal identification information, KYC data, or financial account information. We do not require user accounts or registration.
However, please be aware of the following privacy considerations:
- Blockchain Transparency: All blockchain transactions are publicly visible and permanently recorded. Your wallet address and transaction history are visible to anyone on the blockchain.
- Third-Party Providers: When using fiat on-ramp services (Coinbase, Transak, MoonPay), you interact directly with those providers who have their own privacy policies and may require KYC verification.
- Analytics: We may use anonymized analytics to understand Platform usage patterns and improve our services. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
- Local Storage: Some user preferences (theme, currency, transaction history) are stored locally in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
- API Requests: When you request quotes or execute transactions, your wallet address and transaction parameters are sent to our API server and forwarded to third-party aggregator APIs. We do not log or store this data beyond what is necessary for request processing.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CHAINBRIDGE TRADING, ITS DEVELOPERS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, WHETHER IN AN ACTION IN CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO:
- Your use of or inability to use the Platform
- Any transactions executed through the Platform, including failed, reverted, or front-run transactions
- Loss of funds due to smart contract vulnerabilities, exploits, or bugs in third-party protocols
- Price slippage, impermanent loss, liquidations, or unfavorable trade execution

- Changes in applicable laws or regulations affecting cryptocurrency trading
The Platform is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ChainBridge Trading, its developers, contributors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, or debt arising from your use of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party. This indemnification obligation will survive the termination of these Terms and your use of the Platform.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which ChainBridge Trading operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be resolved through good faith negotiation between the parties.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of a recognized arbitration institution. The arbitration shall be conducted in English. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding on all parties, and may be enforced in any court of competent jurisdiction.
11. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, it shall be severed from these Terms. The invalidity of any provision shall not affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions.
These Terms, together with any amendments and additional agreements you may enter into with ChainBridge Trading, constitute the entire agreement between you and ChainBridge Trading concerning the Platform and supersede all prior agreements, understandings, and communications.
