For same-chain swaps, we support Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base. Through Thorchain integration, we also support native Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Litecoin swaps.

How does the Smart Order Router work?

Our Smart Order Router (SOR) simultaneously queries 7 DEX aggregators to find the best execution price for your swap. It compares quotes from 0x, 1inch, ParaSwap, KyberSwap, UniswapX, Balancer V3, and Thorchain, considering output amount, price impact, gas costs, and slippage. The router selects the optimal route and presents all quotes so you can compare or manually choose an aggregator.

What are the trading fees on ChainBridge?

ChainBridge charges a small platform fee on swaps above $1,000: 0.1% for trades between $1K and $10K, and 0.2% for trades above $10K. Swaps under $1,000 are free. You also pay the standard network gas fees and any fees from the underlying DEX protocol. The best net output amount (after all fees) is always displayed, so you can compare before confirming.

How does gasless trading work?

Gasless trading is available through 0x Gasless API and UniswapX. With 0x Gasless, you sign an EIP-712 message (free) instead of submitting an on-chain transaction. A relayer then executes the trade on your behalf, deducting a small fee from the output tokens. With UniswapX, you sign an intent-based order that professional fillers compete to execute, paying gas on your behalf. Both methods let you trade without holding ETH for gas.

ChainBridge supports 5 order types: Market Orders (immediate execution at current price), Limit Buy (triggers when price drops to target), Limit Sell (triggers when price rises to target), Stop Loss (automatic sell to limit losses when price drops), Take Profit (automatic sell to lock in gains when price rises), and Stop Limit (two-stage order with stop trigger then limit execution). Our TriggerEngine monitors prices every 5 seconds to execute conditional orders.

How do cross-chain bridges work?

Cross-chain bridges transfer assets between different blockchains. ChainBridge aggregates routes from LI.FI and Socket (Bungee), finding the optimal bridge route based on output amount, speed, and fees. When you initiate a bridge, your tokens are locked or burned on the source chain, and equivalent tokens are minted or released on the destination chain. Bridge times vary from 2-30 minutes depending on the chains involved.

How secure are my funds?

ChainBridge is a non-custodial platform - we never hold your funds. All trades execute directly from your wallet through smart contracts. We implement rate limiting, CSRF protection, security headers (CSP, HSTS), Zod validation on all inputs, and API keys are kept server-side only. However, DeFi carries inherent risks including smart contract vulnerabilities, price volatility, and bridge risks. Always verify transactions before signing.

ChainBridge provides MEV protection through private mempool submission (0x), intent-based ordering (UniswapX), and slippage protection. This means your trades execute at fair prices without being manipulated by on-chain bots.

Visit the Pools page to manage liquidity positions. ChainBridge integrates with Uniswap V3 (concentrated liquidity) and Balancer V3 (weighted pools). You can browse existing pools, create new positions with custom price ranges, add or remove liquidity, and collect accumulated fees. The interface shows TVL, APR, and volume data for each pool.

How does staking work on ChainBridge?

The Stake page integrates liquid staking (Lido stETH, RocketPool rETH) and DeFi yield (Aave V3, Compound V3). For liquid staking, you deposit ETH and receive a liquid derivative token (stETH or rETH) that earns staking rewards while remaining usable in DeFi. For DeFi yield, you supply assets to lending markets and earn interest. APY comparison across protocols helps you find the best rates.

What happens if a transaction fails?

If a transaction fails, your funds remain in your wallet. You only lose the gas fee spent up to the failure point. Common causes include insufficient gas, high slippage (price moved beyond your tolerance), expired quotes, or network congestion. You can retry with a higher slippage tolerance or during lower congestion. For bridge transactions, if the bridge fails, your funds are typically returned to the source chain.

ChainBridge's Smart Order Router queries 6 aggregators (0x, ParaSwap, KyberSwap, UniswapX, Balancer, Thorchain) in parallel and selects the route that gives you the most tokens for your swap. This can save 1-5% compared to using a single DEX.

How does gasless trading work?

With gasless trading, you sign an EIP-712 message instead of submitting an on-chain transaction. A relayer submits the transaction on your behalf and pays the gas. You still approve the token spend via Permit2, but the actual swap costs you zero gas. Available on Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, and Optimism.

ChainBridge aggregates routes from multiple bridge providers (LI.FI, Socket) rather than relying on a single bridge. Each bridge transaction is validated with slippage protection and amount verification. We never custody your funds — all transactions are signed directly from your wallet.

What is impermanent loss and should I worry about it?

Impermanent loss occurs when the price ratio of tokens in a liquidity pool changes compared to when you deposited. The greater the price change, the larger the loss. For example, a 2x price change results in approximately 5.7% IL. However, trading fees earned can offset this loss over time, especially in high-volume pools.
